BSN.cloud is BrightSign's cloud platform for managing players remotely — publishing content, monitoring health, pushing BrightSignOS updates, and organizing fleets. Every networked BrightSign player needs an active subscription to use the cloud control plane, and every new player includes a trial to get you started.
What the subscription actually covers
- BrightSign Control Cloud — remote player management: status dashboards, reboots, OS updates, diagnostics, grouping, and user permissions.
- Content publishing — push presentations from BrightAuthor:connected to any player, anywhere, without VPNs or port forwarding.
- Per-player licensing — one subscription per player, transferable between players in your network if hardware is swapped.
1 year or 5? The math
Multi-year terms cost less per year than renewing annually — the 5-year term in particular prices close to 3.5× the 1-year rate for 5 years of coverage. Signage deployments routinely run 5+ years on the same hardware (registered Series 5 players carry up to a 5-year warranty), so matching the subscription term to the hardware life avoids both annual procurement overhead and mid-life price increases.
Do offline players need it?
No. A player running standalone content from its SD card — updated by hand, never managed remotely — works without a subscription. The moment you want to publish over the network or see player health from your desk, you need BSN.cloud.
Buying and activating
Subscriptions on this site are delivered as activation codes for your BSN.cloud network — choose the same quantity as the players you're deploying. Mixed fleet or enterprise volume? Call 321-747-3220 and we'll quote the whole deployment, players and subscriptions together.
